Real Madrid are ready to do whatever it takes to get rid of Gareth Bale this summer.
According to ‘ABC’, Madrid have given up on the idea of earning their money back on Bale and will now listen to offers around €85m instead. Florentino Perez knows that the player’s injury problems, his age and high wages are putting off most teams.
With each day that passes, Bale’s worth continues to decline. Madrid know it won’t be easy to move on a player who is coming off a poor season. They feel the only way to get things moving is by reducing his price tag but even that won’t bring in a lot of potential candidates.
The reason behind this is Bale’s €17m per season wages. For a player who has suffered with injuries and irregular form, it doesn’t scream out as a smart investment.
Bale doesn’t want to lose the €17m he’s owed for the remaining three years of his contract and would prefer to stay. His agent, Jonathan Barnett, has told the club Bale won’t move unless he’s handed the €51m he was promised in his last renewal. It could turn out to be a long summer for Real Madrid and the Welsh wizard.
